The story behind the method.
A woman rear-ended my car one afternoon. No damage. I was annoyed I even had to stop.
The next morning I couldn't bend over to grab milk from the refrigerator.
I was a personal trainer. I knew the body better than most. I tried every PT and chiropractor I could find. Nothing touched it. Eventually an orthopedic surgeon gave me the list — degenerative disc, bulging discs — and told me surgery was my only option. His confidence in that surgery was 30%.
I got drunk one night wondering if my career was over. Whether my body was just broken now.
That night I stumbled across a book called Anatomy Trains by Thomas Myers. It destroyed everything I thought I knew about how the body works. Fascia — the continuous web of connective tissue that holds your entire body together — is one of only three communication systems in the human body. Almost nobody in fitness or rehab was talking about it.
We think of the body like a building, bricks stacked on bricks. But you have never seen a skeleton standing on its own. Every museum skeleton is hanging from a hook or held up by a rod. Bones cannot hold themselves up. Fascia does. And fascia doesn't work locally. It works globally. Your lower back pain might be coming from your hips. Your knee pain might trace back to your foot.
I developed what I now call the Unlock Protocol — the sequence that must happen before any real training can begin. It resets the fascial system, integrates the core, and restores the mobility your body lost. I fixed myself with it. No surgery.
That was 25 years ago. Since then I've worked with hundreds of people who came to me after PT, chiropractic, cortisone shots, and surgery recommendations failed them. Every single one who follows this method gets out of pain.
This is why I built the Kayser Method.

How the Kayser Method Works
Every session follows the same 7-phase sequence. Not because it's routine — because the sequence is the science.
Myofascial Release
We start every session by releasing the connective tissue that's been holding your body in dysfunction. This is not stretching — it's structural reorganization.
Core Integration
Once the fascia is released, we wake up the deep stabilizers that have been dormant. Your core isn't your abs — it's the entire system that holds your spine safe.
Mobility Work
We move the joints through their full range of motion — not just the range they've been stuck in. Real mobility means freedom in all three planes.
Warm-Up: 7 Fundamental Movement Patterns
Every human body needs to squat, hinge, push, pull, rotate, carry, and locomote. We train all seven — with corrective exercises woven in where your body needs them.
Weighted Segments
Strength work separated by Sun Salutations — keeping the nervous system calm and the fascia pliable while we build real, functional strength.
Yoga Finishing Sequence
We close every session with a yoga sequence that integrates everything we've done. Your body leaves organized, not depleted.
Breathwork / Meditation / Reiki HealingBy Request
By request only. For clients who want to go deeper — into the nervous system, into the energy body. This is where the work becomes truly transformative.
"I've done PT before with other practitioners, but working with Dan is a completely different approach. His focus isn't just on fixing your pain or addressing symptoms — he digs into the underlying root causes that led you there in the first place. Dan is a biomechanics coach, functional movement specialist, and personal trainer who truly understands how the body works as a whole. If you're looking for someone who goes beyond the typical physical therapy experience, I can't recommend him enough."
